Gratitude - Weekly Wellness Challenge
Updated: Jul 24, 2022

These days, life seems to rush by at such an alarming pace that we rarely stop to notice how wonderful and perfect things really are. We seem to be constantly bombarded with bad news and with everything that is wrong in the world . The good news is, however, that the world is still here and we are still here, which certainly means that things can't be all bad. On the contrary, if we would only take the time to notice that nature is still beautiful, people are still beautiful and life is still perfect, leading us to exactly the place where we have to be in space and time - perfectly at the right moment, we might be of a different view. If we would only take the time to notice how situations unfold in our lives to nudge us towards becoming more, we would realize that there is a purpose, there is hope and that the Light is always shining. If we would take the time to appreciate our bodies and the abilities we still have , we would value the freedom and potential for enjoyment that is constantly a part of us. If we would take the time to contemplate how the Earth provides for us and gives us life, we would love her and revel in her beauty and love for us. There is always more to be aware of, and being aware of beauty and blessings brings us to a place of contentment and fulfillment without any seeming change in our environment. That is because the good things are always there, if we would only take the time to notice them.
For this week's Wellness Challenge we are going to practice gratitude. You can do this at any time during the day, or make it a part of your meditation. At the end of your meditation or whenever you choose, place your hands together in front of your chest, turn your face upwards and just radiate gratitude. This does not have to be for anything specific, although it may. Just radiate gratitude throughout the Universe, unto Infinity. Stay in this place for as long as you wish and then carry on with your daily activities. Throughout the day, try to make a point of noticing things that are beautiful, things that are beneficial to you and privileges that you enjoy. Soon you will understand, with your whole being, that there is more good than evil in this world.
